In the vibrant heart of bustling cities and the quiet corners of remote villages, a silent revolution is taking place, one that bridges the gap between dreams and reality. This movement, driven by the simple act of donating books, creates ripples of impact far beyond their pages. The Blueprint Foundation Inc. is proud to announce a partnership with its first children's author, Dr. Patricia Morgan. Thanks to Dr. Morgan's donation to our foundation, the book "The Doctor Says: Let’s Talk About Body Safety" will be making its way to Guyana.
Dr. Patricia Morgan, a child abuse pediatrician with nearly twenty-five years of experience, has dedicated her career to promoting body safety as a form of child sexual abuse prevention, reaching hundreds of children with her message. In 2023, she released her first children's book, "The Doctor Says: Let’s Talk About Body Safety". As a Caribbean-American doctor with roots in Nevis, Dr. Morgan is acutely aware of the higher risk of sexual abuse faced by Black and Latinx children compared to their white counterparts.

Her illustrated book, designed for children ages three to ten, empowers young readers by teaching them the importance of bravery in unsafe situations. Parents can read this book to their preschool-aged children, while independent readers will find the message easy to understand. Additionally, parents and caregivers will find valuable sections at the beginning and end of the book offering suggestions and tips for discussing this sensitive and crucial topic.
